I absolutely agree with Bob, I for one am living proof. I didnt have the money to get a new eye exam/perscription. So i wore my 2 week contacts for 6 months.... I know, terrible isnt it? But when you dont have money for glasses either thats out of the equation. And if your perscription is -7.50(as in-cant see past your own nose) going with out isnt an option. I've got to hurry and get my glasses and extra contacts ordered before my perscription runs out... again! But I did not know about changing the lens case... I change mine once a year when the dr gives me the free one at my appointment. No eye infections here but i will keep it in mind.

I was actually googling information for my boyfriend who keeps getting reoccuring eye infections every time he wears contacts, even if its for only 8 hours while he is at work. Brand new, out of the box contacts... new case(at my suggestion that the first one may have something wrong with it) but i he hasnt tried a new bottle of saline solution yet. We cant figure it out. He went to an "eye dr" twice for it. And is making another appointment tomorrow. I continue my search now :)

Alzheimer’s disease is caused due to the damage to brain cells. Person suffering from it, have trouble in consuming food, loss of control over passing urine, have trouble in understanding conversations, feels depressed. By following a healthy life style, eating right, maintaining optimal health, daily exercise, regulating blood pressure and cholesterol levels, mingling with others, can help prevent this disease.

There are a many preventative measures against Alzheimer’s one of which is called the Okinawa method created by the village in Okinawa that has the most numbers of centenarian (people who lives over 100) in the world. It promotes wellness, memory exercise and good health which has proven to decrease the risk of Alzheimer's memory loss as well as adding extra years to your life. I know that there’s a program from homecareassistance.com created a method based on the Okinawa method called the balanced care method.

Interesting point about driving skills. Has there been any associated studies or is this a bridge assumption based on other tests?

Agree that physical and mental stimulus is the key to helping fight these diseases most prevalent in seniors.

Also a note for the natural henna users............some of the natural pastes are mixed with black walnut oil, which can cause allergic reactions on children or anyone who has a nut allergy!

it also should be noted that the eucalyptus oil is used might be a problem for some also

It will always take two to tango whether the feminists agree or not. We trust that our officials are smart enough not to be swayed by but to be cautious of special interest groups. How in Gods name is it possible to portray diplomatic demenour while telling the public that "oh i guess that fathers are a valid part of the equasion", God damn if my father wasn't as solid a man as he was i shudder to think what other route my life might have taken. Thanks dad for laying the foundations of my straight road, mother was sweet but.....together both are a better team.

Uganda made real gains against HIV with "zero grazing" (one partner at a time). This works because the virus is most infective soon after it has been received.

Circumcision does not "prevent" HIV. It might delay infection, but there are several problems with the trials. 5,400 circumcisions might have delayed 73 infections by two years, but meanwhile 673 men (323 circumcised) dropped out of the trials, their HIV status unknown. Non-sexual transmission was ignored (some HIV+ men claimed not to have had sex at all). The circumcised and non-circumcised men were treated differently. In at least six African countries, more of the circumcised men have HIV than the non-circumcised, according to the National Health and Demographic Surveys. Why?

This campaign, far from representing "hope and progress", is a dangerous distraction that puts women at greater risk.

Maybe the GFC could the catalyst to significantly improve prevention programs and finally bring accountability of effectiveness against money spent. World Aids programs have some unnecessary bureaucratic beneficiaries swallowing funds and prevention programs are often done in an almost patronising way. AIDS prevention doesn't work effectively and won't work effectively until the people we are trying to protect are given ownership and understanding of the crisis. So often AIDS prevention is presented in the methods of the host country or church funding it without relevance and specificity to culture. AIDS prevention can be almost enforced rather than locally owned. We've all seen overseas owned and enforced programs lack the gravity and compliance needed to arrest infection rates. Maybe something good will come out of the GFC requiring better accountability of the effectiveness of prevention programs. Maybe then we can boost the esteem of the at risk countries and peoples seriously educate them about the disease and enable them to develop their own culturally relevant prevention programs. Prevention doesn't need to be expensive it just needs to be owned by the people that matter.
